Assistant Principal
Meridith Johnson- Assistant Principal
Welcome to Whitehall Elementary School!
My name is Meridith Johnson, and I am thrilled to be serving as the Assistant Principal at Whitehall Elementary for the 2025–2026 school year. It is truly an honor to work alongside our dedicated faculty and staff, as well as our amazing students.
This will be my third year at Whitehall, and I am so grateful for the strong partnerships we’ve built with our families. These connections are key to ensuring student success—both academically and in character development. Research consistently shows that positive relationships between families and school staff lead to improved academic achievement, stronger social skills, and greater emotional well-being. When we work together as a team, our children thrive—both at school and at home.
Before joining Whitehall, I spent 19 years at McLees Elementary as a second and third grade teacher, interventionist, and reading coach. I hold a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Clemson University, a Master of Education from Anderson University, and a degree in Leadership and Supervision from Gardner-Webb University. I am also endorsed as a Literacy Teacher and Literacy Coach.
Outside of school, my husband Scott and I have an eighteen-year-old son and a sixteen-year-old chocolate lab named Goose. We spend most of our free time at the baseball field, but when we’re not at a tournament, we love cheering on Clemson football and baseball, spending time with friends, and visiting the beach.
I’m looking forward to another amazing year of learning, growth, and community. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if I can be of any assistance.
Warm Regards,
Meridith Johnson
