Assistant Principal
Malura Shady- Assistant Principal
I am thrilled to continue my career with the Whitehall Elementary School family for the 2020 – 2021 school year. The positive energy and the dedication from the faculty and staff at Whitehall makes each day a Great day! The scholars at WHES are some of the top in our district and state. I could not be more honored to have the opportunity to serve at such a fantastic elementary school.
The elementary years are an exciting time for your child – and also for you. During these years, we will watch together as your child grows and changes in amazing ways. As an educator, it is my desire to develop a partnership with each family that aides in the success of our scholars as they develop into life-long learners. Our scholars will experience a number of academic, social, and physical changes from grades 4K – 5 and it is important that we work together to assist your child so that he/she is ready for the challenges and opportunities presented during the elementary age. I can promise you it will not be easy but it will be well worth it as we see the results of a well-rounded educational foundation.
I have served as an educator for 27 years and my enthusiasm grows each year. Prior to arriving at Whitehall, I served as an Assistant Principal at Varennes Elementary School, Instructional Facilitator at Homeland Park Primary and Lakeside Middle School. Also, I worked in guidance at Lakeside Middle and was a classroom teacher from 1993 - 2004.
I earned my bachelor’s degree from Anderson University. Additionally, I have a Master’s Degree in Instructional Technology from Lesley University and a Master’s in Supervisor and School Leadership from my alma mater, Anderson University.
I am married to my college sweetheart, Nick, and we just welcomed a grandchild to our family and could not be more excited. We have two children and a beautiful daughter-in-law. We enjoy spending time with our family and friends going to the mountains and beach and just being together. I personally enjoy reading, shopping, and traveling.
I am committed to serving the Whitehall family in our mission to educate students who are college and career-ready and who will positively contribute to an ever-changing world. I look forward to working together to achieve this mission and appreciate the support of our stakeholders.
Thank you,
Malura Shady
