Kevin Snow, Principal
We are back into the swing of things for this school year! I think we have gotten off to a good start. So many of our students have returned from last year. They know the teachers. They know we have high expectations for them. They know we will take good care of them as we prepare them for the future!
I think our lines of communication have been greatly improved with all the parents who signed up for email messages from the district and me! Bill Baker, communications director, will be providing district information to you beginning this week. I will limit my emails to school information. Rest assured, if you have internet access, you will get information from us first! It is much quicker to send you an email than to draft, proof, and print a flyer to go home. If anyone has not received an email from me, even though you provided your internet address, please email our data clerk, Janice Tomlinson, at janicetomlinson@anderson5.net.
I must thank you for all the fundraiser orders that were turned in this week! One student sold $600 in orders alone! Wow!!! The profits from our fundraisers go right back to your children. The Whitehall PTO is as strong as the support of its members. Thank you for supporting the school, so we can make your child’s school experience one he/she will never forget!
We have a lot of events planned during the month of October. They are designed to encourage wholesome family time in a very fast-paced world. I hope you and your child can take part in all that we have planned!
Early Dismissal Day is Wednesday, Oct. 14. Students will be dismissed at 11:00 a.m. so teachers can work on professional development. Friday, Oct. 30 is a student holiday, so teachers can work on professional development, too. Please make arrangements for your child on these days.
FALL PICTURE DAY IS FRIDAY, OCTOBER 23.
REPORT CARDS ISSUED ON WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 28.
I hope your year is off to a good start like ours. Remember, if you have a question or concern, contact the teacher to resolve it.
