Assistant Principal
Meridith Johnson- Assistant Principal
Welcome to Whitehall Elementary School!
My name is Meridith Johnson, and I am thrilled to be serving as the assistant principal at Whitehall Elementary for the 2023-2024 school year. It is an honor to be able to work alongside such an amazing faculty and staff and group of students. I look forward to meeting and creating partnerships with each family to ensure that our students are successful as we work to challenge them academically and build character. Positive connections between parents and teachers/administrators have been shown to improve children’s academic achievement, social competencies, and emotional well-being. When parents and teachers/administrators work as partners, children do better in school and at home.
Before coming to Whitehall, I spent nineteen years at McLees Elementary as a second grade teacher, third grade teacher, interventionist, and reading coach. I graduated from Clemson University with a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. I earned my Masters of Education from Anderson University and Leadership and Supervision from Gardner-Webb University. I am also endorsed as a Literacy Teacher and Literacy Coach.
My husband, Scott, and I have a sixteen year old son and a thirteen year old chocolate lab named Goose. We spend most of our free time at the baseball field, but when we aren’t at a tournament, we love Clemson Football, Clemson Baseball, spending time with friends, and traveling to the beach.
I look forward to an amazing year and please feel free to contact me if I can be of any assistance.
Thank you,
Meridith Johnson
